Mädchen und Füchse

A few months ago I started a cooperation with my friend Elsa Klever who is a fantastic illustrator. The idea was born by accident although we know each other for some time and we're working door to door. I was preparing some prints for an exhibition and Elsa lend me some of her frames. The floor of my room was completely covered with her illustrations and my photos and I was surprised by the fact how good our works looked together. I gave her some prints and Elsa painted on them. Soon I couldn't imagine those photos anymore without the little creatures and tendrils on them. We had our first exhibition together back in April. Patrick Mariathasan and Philip Nottelmann made a video of the exhibition evening. You can watch it here.

Now we have the pleasure to offer some prints of our work at FKIDS Shop in Hamburg. If you are interested to have a look or to buy some art you can find the shop open from monday till saturday at Ottenser Hauptstr. 37, Hamburg. All prints are framed and unique.

More of our work:

A litte story I shot quite a while ago. Well, really quite a while ago... I took the first ones back in 2011 and it's hard to believe but it took me two years to finally work on this again with a second session. It's crazy how time is rushing. Anyway, better late than never I want to share this with you. It's an ode to some women who are an endless inspiration of style, personality and energy to me. I wanted to give the whole series a very fashionable concept which is a bit more flashy and loud than the pictures you are used to see from me. I hope you like them! New Year's resolution: do more icon inspired photoshoots.

Läer Couture

A few months ago I was asked by a young fashion label from Hannover called Läer Couture to shoot their first lookbook. The style of Läer Couture is very classy and elegant so we decided to give the pictures a pure and straight but also soft atmosphere. I was happy that we were able to hire Lena Melcher from Modelmanagement to be the face of the campaign because she absolutely matched to our vision. It's always important to find the perfect model, but it is even more important to have someone who really goes with  the atmosphere you want to create if the set is very clean. Josephine from Läer Couture was totally relaxed and funny and it was a pleasure to work with her.
